As a physician/researcher Dr. Calderón has been funded to conduct twelve research projects by the National Institutes on Aging, Department of Health and Human Services, Agency for Healthcare Research Quality, and the National Center for Research Resources/National Institutes of Health.
Scientific Research
As physician/scientist, Dr. Calderón’s research addressed the cell molecular biology of cancer, with a focus on pancreatic cancer.More recently, he has investigated the use of botanicals and other natural sources of medicine to prevent and treat skin conditions such as acne/eczema/ psoriasis.
